About the event
Our guest speakers will be local author and artist Elise Matich who will introduce her book "Sew Sisters: The Untold Story of Jean Wright and NASA's Seamstresses" and Jean Wright, who will be joining us via Zoom to share her incredible story of hand crafting the specialized quilts that covered the exterior of the space shuttles. Jean is one of these eighteen "Sew Sisters" who created these thermal blankets, mostly by hand, with precision and skill!
Our menu will be:
First Course: Smoked Tomato Bisque Soup
Second Course: Chicken Caesar Salad
Dessert: Hagen Daz Cinnamon Ice Cream in a waffle cone cup.
